Your role as an Operations Manager at Xsens

As an Operations Manager you are responsible for all Supply Chain (Purchasing, Planning, Manufacturing), Logistics, IT and Quality management activities, both internal and outsourced. You are responsible for leading and realizing projects within these domains, from idea, phase up and handover to stakeholders, within agreed planning and budget and in accordance with agreed quality standards (i.e. ERP implementation, ISO certification) You will direct your Operational team and External Partners to focus on agreed Service Levels, Quality adherence, Cost and Efficiency, Innovation and Continuous Improvement.

You will be supporting all mCube/Xsens Business Units in the Asia region and in line with global Company strategy. You will advise Xsens’ the Management Team on strategic Supply Chain, Logistics, IT and Quality solutions (i.e. ERP, Manufacturing footprint) that will help to support the growth of the mCube/Xsens business worldwide. You will be based in Shanghai.

Key challenges:

  • Manage the Asia Operations team and external suppliers and setup and monitor contractual agreements
  • Manage and control strategic projects and bring them to a successful conclusion within agreed planning and budget and in accordance with agreed quality standards
  • Create, maintain and implement Supply Chain, Logistics, Quality and IT strategies, policies and plans for the Asia region, in line with World Wide Company Strategy.
  • Ensure a stable, timely available and undisturbed operation against most efficient cost
  • Manage and monitor the Asia Operations budget
  • Advise on innovation and process improvements
  • Conduct Management and Internal reporting


Xsens is looking for a strong leader with excellent decision making skills. Someone who thrives in an environment where your analytical approach to problem solving is highly appreciated. You have:

  • A Master degree (Msc, MBA) in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems or related
  • 5 years+ Experience in an International Company in an Operational leadership role, leading a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience with Project implementations and Project Management
  • Experience with ERP systems, MRP and/or other planning methodologies
  • Experience with Application, Information and IT Service Management
  • Experience with ISO methodologies
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong understanding of complex information and requirements
  • Good communication skills in both English and Mandarin
